Position Summary

We seek a versatile and experienced Marketing Operations and Strategy Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Growth, this role is integral to our overall growth and development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, managing CRM transitions, handling website and member portal maintenance, overseeing survey and registration platforms, and leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency. This role requires a balance of strategic planning and hands-on project and technical involvement to achieve deliverables based on specified timelines. The Marketing Operations and Strategy Manager will also support developing and implementing communications and assets that drive adoption and success.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop marketing strategies in collaboration with marketing advisors, the content manager, and other team members. This includes promoting SafeSide’s full suite of programs and services, such as digital products, live training events, and professional services.
  • Define and coordinate customer engagement strategies and assets across various stages of the customer value journey for various programs: Awareness, Engagement, Consideration, Commitment, Success, Expansion, and Advocacy.
  • When specific organizations have been identified as strategically important, collaborate with the content manager to create and deliver highly targeted content consistent with principles of account-based marketing.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Growth on strategic initiatives and goals to ensure alignment with the overall growth strategy.
  • Work closely with the implementation team to develop and support communications and assets that drive adoption and success.

CRM Management:

  • Plan and execute the transition to HubSpot CRM (Sales, Marketing) with input from end users and collaboration with the Director of Technical Services.
  • Develop and manage email marketing, social media, and paid media campaigns using CRM to nurture new opportunities and engage existing customers.
  • Coordinate with the content specialist to create and schedule engaging content.
  • Track, analyze, and report campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments.

Website and Member Portal Management:

  • Handle day-to-day maintenance of the company website and member portal.
  • Set up, test, and optimize new pages and update existing content as directed by the Content and Communications Manager and Marketing Director.
  • Follow and suggest routines needed to set up new organizations or users in the portal when they join.
  • Collaborate with the web developer and Director of Technical Services to suggest, test, and implement new features.

Surveys and Reviews:

  • Assist with the technical aspects of survey and review setup, management, and reporting.

  • Work with the web development team to integrate surveys, reviews/testimonials with CRM and other data sources.

  • Set up dashboards and reports to synthesize survey data and provide insights to support marketing and business development initiatives and customer success.

AI and Automation:

  • Across all areas, proactively seek and judiciously leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness across all areas of responsibility.

Strategic and Hands-On Balance:

  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on project and technical involvement to achieve deliverables based on specified timelines.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in marketing management or a similar role.
  • Proven track record in lead generation, campaign management, and strategic planning.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM and marketing workflow management.
  • Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey tools.
  • Proficient in or highly motivated to learn AI and automation tools in marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker with a results-driven approach.

Where you will be working

The successful candidate will reside in Rochester, New York, and work in the office or remotely from a home office. You must be able to travel 1 or 2 times per year and support working across multiple time zones, which will likely include early morning or later evening work 2 to 3 days per week.
