Overview of the Role

The Special Projects and Operations Manager is an experienced professional who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They serve as a key partner to the Chief Operating Officer, ensuring that operations are executed efficiently and effectively. Responsibilities range from client follow-ups and report refinement to organizing special projects and maintaining the integrity of SafeSide’s project management systems. This position is critical to advancing our mission, supporting organizational growth, and ensuring seamless operational execution across all initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage tasks, timelines, and priorities effectively using project management tools to ensure commitments are met.
  • Take ownership of special projects from concept through completion, coordinating across departments.
  • Follow up with clients and partners to maintain clear and timely communication.
  • Maintain, tweak, and generate operational reports for leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Anticipate and resolve logistical challenges before they become bottlenecks.
  • Adopt and champion new technologies, including AI tools, to improve efficiency and impact.

Qualifications

  • 10 + years of experience in operations, logistics, and coordination roles with direct client-facing responsibilities
  • Experience working in mental health or suicide prevention
  • Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate projects, and implement process improvements in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • High comfort level with technology; eager to learn and apply AI tools to daily work.
  • Track record of being a strong team player who keeps momentum in fast pace, complex settings.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and unafraid to roll up sleeves to get things done.

Work Location and Travel

The United States, working remotely from a home office. Additionally, you must be able to support working across multiple time zones, which includes early morning or late evening work 2 days per week. Some travel maybe needed for annual meetings, but amble notices would be provided.
