2026 No-Cost Suicide Prevention Training for South Carolina
The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, in partnership with SafeSide Prevention, is offering no-cost suicide prevention training for clinicians and youth-serving professionals across the state. Our workshops for 2026 are full, but you can sign up to be the first to know when the 2027 dates are released!
Your SafeSide CARE workshop will step through the SafeSide Framework for Suicide Prevention, a map of evidence-based and best practices in suicide prevention that covers the four pillars of Connect, Assess, Respond and Extend. This short video explains "foreseeable changes", a key element of the Framework.

What This Opportunity Includes
This training is designed for anyone who supports children, teens, young adults, or their families. It includes primary care providers, nurses and advanced practice clinicians, child welfare and juvenile justice professionals, behavioral health clinicians, care managers, and school- or community-based youth-serving staff.
Half-day online SafeSide CARE workshop
Learn about the SafeSide Framework for Suicide Prevention, a map of evidence-based and best practices including prevention-oriented risk formulation.
SafeSide Connect in-person event
On November 17, join colleagues for an interactive, half-day session focused on strengthening team relationships, shared purpose, and collective resilience.

You will also receive a SafeSide subscription with access to weekly microlearnings, refresher content, an online Community of Practice and Office Hours.
